East Midlands operator Trentbarton has ordered 10 new Yutong GT12 coaches for its flagship Derby-Nottingham Red Arrow express service, to be supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach.
The move will mean more than a quarter of the company’s vehicles have been replaced in the past three years as part of a Ā£13 million investment programme aimed at improving service quality and reducing environmental impact.
The GT12s offer 53 seats, USB charging points, wheelchair access and onboard wi-fi.
Pelican says the vehicles will “bring long-distance comfort” to commuters, leisure travellers and visitors to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre.
Comments Tom Morgan, Managing Director of Trentbarton: “Backed by our ongoing investment in our team, training and technology, we are wholly focused on boosting the nation’s number one public transport choice.
