Viofo A129 Duo dashcam coming to UK

Dashcam manufacturer Viofo is bringing its most popular product, the A129 Duo, to the UK.

It has a front main camera as well as one for the rear of the vehicle along with a GPS logger, parking mode and dual-band wi-fi. The GPS module delivers various data, including the vehicle’s speed.

A built-in G-sensor for both cameras instantly knows when the vehicle has been in an accident, says Viofo. That allows automatic footage protection.

In advanced parking mode, the Viofo A129 Duo uses a sensor that watches for vandalism and collisions. If motion nearby is detected, the cameras switch on automatically. They preserve recordings of 15 seconds before the incident and 30 seconds after it to see what led to the occurrence and the aftermath.

A separately sold SD card allows drivers to store up to 256GB of HD video. The camera also comes with a loop recording feature that automatically records over the oldest files when the card is full.

The front camera includes a 2in screen to allow video playback. Retail price for the whole product is £129.99 from Amazon.
