Jonathan Radley is to step down as Commercial Director of Journey Solutions in March, after almost 15 years in the role.

The Journey Solutions partnership was set up in 2001 to encourage integrated journeys and growth of the PlusBus ticketing product.

Both the PlusBus product and responsibility for Journey Solutions will pass over to Traveline after Jonathan’s departure, under the leadership of Traveline Chief Executive Julie Williams.

“I’ve really enjoyed the role and the way we’ve grown the PlusBus product over the years,” says Jonathan. “We now have 280 PlusBus locations, have developed regular national marketing campaigns, online retailing and have seen transactions rise to around one million a year.”

Confederation of Passenger Transport and Journey Solutions board member Martin Dean adds: “We can all be very grateful for the job Jonathan has done: Not only has it led to revenue generation of around £5.5m per annum for bus operators but it has given customers at key locations a convenient and great value integrated bus and rail product.

“It’s fantastic its role has been recognised in the recently published National Bus Strategy.”
