Johnson Transport of Shetland has purchased a Volvo B8R with Plaxton Panther bodywork. The 57-seater comes with USB charging points, alloy wheels, a DAB digital radio and a DVD player.

Says Johnson Transport Director Gary Johnson: “We are committed to ensuring that our coach and bus fleet continues to be modern, and this new coach is a great addition. It will complement the range of vehicles that we operate on different parts of our network. This is a high-quality coach which I have no doubt that our customers will enjoy travelling on.”

Adds ADL Senior Regional Sales Manager Charlie Miller: “This coach offers comfort, quality and reliability, and we are delighted that Gary and the team at Johnson Transport have chosen us again for their first new-build coach since 2014.

“The choice of Plaxton supports jobs at our factory in Scarborough as well as in our extensive domestic supply chain, and ensures that Britain’s last remaining coach builder continues to thrive.”
