Stanford Coachworks Sales Director Mike Gasper died on 13 January after a three-year battle with prostate cancer. He was 67.

Mike was a huge part of the coach and bus industry for almost 30 years. During this time, he worked within a variety of different sectors including Irisbus/Iveco Bus UK, Bedford Truck and Bus, and Ford Motor Company.

For the past 15 years, Mike was “an outstanding member” of the Stanford Coachworks team. The specialist coachbuilder says he “had a wonderful way with people, making him so successful within his roles. He never failed to put a smile on anyone’s face, and his infectious laughter, fantastic humour and enormous dedication to Stanford Coachworks will be greatly missed by us all.”

Mike’s funeral will be held on Wednesday 15 March at 1400hrs at Southend Crematorium, Sutton Road, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS2 5PX. A live webcast will also be available for those who cannot attend. Please contact Stanford Coachworks for full details if you wish to attend.

In lieu of flowers Mike has asked for any donations to be made in his memory to his two chosen charities, The Lions Club of Leigh and Prostate Cancer UK. There are JustGiving pages set up for those who wish to donate.
