Hearn’s Coaches of Harrow has continued strong fleet investment with the arrival of a first battery-electric vehicle. It is a Yutong TCe12 and has been supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach.

The vehicle comes with 281kWh of energy capacity for what the dealership says is a range of over 200 miles. 50 seats trimmed in a half-leather red and black scheme and with USB charging points are fitted.

The TCe12 is cited as suiting operators that wish to electrify “a proportion of the fleet” by Pelican UK Coach Sales Manager Simon Collins. It can be charged from a 20kW or 43kW unit that utilises existing three-phase depot supply.

Hearn’s already has Yutong diesel coaches. The zero-emission newcomer has discrete modification to the fleet name noting its electric power source.

Managing Director Jamie Thacker (pictured, left) took delivery of the coach from Pelican Area Sales Manager Steve O’Neill (pictured, right).
