Bus Users UK is seeking an exceptional and visionary Director for England to spearhead our mission and drive positive change for bus passengers across the nation.
This is more than just a job: it’s a chance to be at the forefront of ensuring public transport is a gateway, not a barrier to opportunity. As part of our Senior Management Team you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of bus travel, not just in England but across the UK.
As Director for England you will:
- Lead and inspire – manage, support and coach our dedicated team in England, fostering a collaborative environment that champions our charitable mission.
- Drive strategy – work hand-in-hand with the CEO to craft and execute annual strategies that support the interests of bus users and align with our UK-wide goals.
- Champion change – develop and lead campaigns and activities that address the key concerns of bus passengers, ensuring their voices are heard loud and clear.
- Build powerful partnerships – forge and nurture strong relationships with local authorities, bus operators, government officials and other key stakeholders to drive improvements in public transport.
- Innovate and grow: Develop and implement new commercial services to increase our organisation’s income and expand our impact.
- Be our voice: represent Bus Users UK in high-profile settings including media interviews, conferences and public transport development bodies, advocating for a better bus experience for all.
This home-based role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in England, with extensive travel required to connect with communities and stakeholders across the country.
Salary circa £45k+, dependent on experience.
