CPT renews Coach Friendly status for RHS sites

The Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) has renewed Coach Friendly status for all five Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) sites in England.

The locations at Bridgewater (Worsley), Greater Manchester; Harlow Carr, North Yorkshire; Hyde Hall, Essex; Rosemoor, Devon; and Wisley, Surrey, were recognised for being supportive of coaches and their passengers and drivers.

The accreditation, which has been handed out to dozens of sites in the UK, has been granted to the RHS sites for at least the next three years.

As the coach sector marks National Coach Week, Gary Gresty, RHS Finance and Admin Manager at RHS Bridgewater was at the garden site in Greater Manchester to accept the certificates from CPT UK Coach Manager Phil Smith.

The renewals follow the awarding of Coach Friendly status to both Exmouth and Ilkley last month.

Mr Smith adds: “RHS Gardens are a national institution and all of them see hundreds of groups visiting them by coach every year.

“On behalf of the coach sector, CPT is proud to partner with such a prominent organisation in our quest to promote coach travel in all its forms.”
