Amport and District Coaches of Hampshire has taken delivery of three Futura FHD2s, supplied by VDL Bus and Coach UK.

All of the trio are 12.9m two-axle models powered by the 10.8-litre DAF MX-11 engine driving through ZF’s EcoLife automatic gearbox. In two of the coaches the MX-11 is rated at 370bhp and at 410bhp in the third. They all have predictive powertrain control for maximum fuel efficiency.

The interior specification includes 57 high-specification VDL Class 300 seats with three-point belts, a drinks machine and a fridge.

Amport and District Coaches Director Nigel Tedd took delivery of the new vehicles from VDL Bus and Coach UK Area Sales Manager Marcus Worth. They represent further success for the manufacturer-owned dealership, which was established in 2020.
