Grant Palmer has added two more new Alexander Dennis Enviro200s to its fleet. The 10.8m examples are for use on services 72 and 73 between Bedford and Potton or Biggleswade, respectively. They have been purchased to add what the Bedfordshire operator says is “much needed capacity” on those routes, which it took up recently.

The new additions have 40 high-backed seats with belts and USB charging points. Part of the package on routes 72 and 73 is Grant Palmer’s use of capped contactless payments and journeys can be tracked via its app.

Commercial Manager Thomas Manship says that the buses take to 14 the number of Enviro200s that Grant Palmer has purchased since 2015. “The buses delivered in 2022 can carry 25% more customers than previous buses we’ve ordered, and they will be perfect for our 72 and 73 routes.

“They will provide customers in East Bedfordshire with comfortable, low-emission, great value journeys.” Mr Manship adds that the two services that occupy the new Enviro200s have proved to be “exceedingly popular” since Grant Palmer took them over.
