Six i6 integral coaches have joined Carnforth operator The Travellers Choice, supplied by Irizar UK. The order is split equally across two- and three-axle variants. and all are PSVAR compliant.

The tri-axles are 14m examples that each carry 57 passengers. The 12.9m two-axle models seat 53.

Power in all comes from the DAF MX-11 engine. In the larger coaches it develops 449bhp, while in the smaller examples it is rated at 367bhp. The ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox has been specified across the new deliveries.

Also common in each coach are drop-down tables, USB charging points, a centre sunken toilet, a drinks machine, entertainment via a Bosch Smart Series system and a built-in vacuum cleaner and coach wash.

PSVAR compliance comes via items including a Masats lift and Hanover destination displays. In the tri-axles, the lift is above the drive wheels, while it is within the luggage bay of the two-axle coaches. The deal follows delivery of earlier Irizar integral coaches to The Travellers Choice from 2019 onwards.
