The Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society has taken delivery of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 16-seat minicoach conversion, supplied by EVM Direct (0845 520 5160).

Although high floor, it is accessible. Six of the Executive 110 seats are mounted on NMI quick-release tracking. A box is attached at the rear to store wheelchair restraints. An external light above the adjacent doors assists with loading via the PLS underfloor lift.

An Eberspächer saloon air-conditioning unit ducts via passenger service units. Convector heaters are also provided.

The OEM passenger door has been retained, and the Society has specified both panoramic side windows and a glazed roof.

Tarabus non-slip flooring along with an entertainment system complete the interior specification, which was custom-designed to suit The Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society.
