Wattsway Travel of Sutton has taken delivery of a second battery-electric Yutong TCe12, supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach.

It is a 50-seat, PSVAR compliant example and completed well over 200 miles on its delivery trip from Pelican’s Castleford base on a single charge.

The new arrival will use the charger previously provided for the first TCe12 battery-electric coach with Wattsway Travel. Both zero-emission vehicles work alongside diesel examples from the Chinese marque. The business took a first TC9 in 2015, and it also runs the GT12.

“Discussions with Wattsway Travel about a further new vehicle were assisted by the level of backup and aftercare offered by Pelican Bus and Coach,” says the dealership’s UK Coach Sales Manager Simon Collins.

“This was a deciding factor in this addition.”  The deal was completed by Area Sales Manager Phil Hodgson.
