Borders Buses has announced its new campaign to show the benefits of bus travel.

Until 26 November, the operator will be promoting the advantages of getting the bus, with the aim of encouraging more people to ditch the car and catch the bus.

To attract more bus usage the company launched a £5 promotional day ticket on Monday (6 November) which will be on offer until the end of the campaign.

The Borderless Day offers unlimited travel across the full Borders Buses network, which includes Lothian, the Scottish Borders, North Northumberland and Cumbria.

Lee Young, Operations Manager at Borders Buses, Galashiels, says: “The Borderless Day ticket represents real value for money and we hope this alongside the many benefits of bus use will increase the number of people opting to use the bus instead of cars.”
