Bournemouth 7s festival shuttles delivered by Yellow Buses

Yellow Buses again worked with the Bournemouth 7s sport and music festival to provide transport to attendees across Friday 3 and Saturday 4 June in what the operator describes as its “biggest mobilisation to date” for the event.

Four shuttle services to and from the festival site operated from 1000hrs on both days until around 0300hrs on the following day, utilising up to 20 vehicles. Yellow Buses carried over 3,000 people on those routes across the duration of the event and deployed staff to the festival site to sell tickets to customers before they boarded.

Says Yellow Buses Commercial Director Simon Newport: “As a bus business, we specialise in mass transit, including events such as this, which requires a large-scale movement of people over a short period. We were the last man standing, ensuring that nobody was left behind.”

Adds Bournemouth 7s festival Managing Director Craig Mathie: “It is great to work with a local company that understands the requirements of the community, and has the ability to deploy a large number of double-deck buses to get people home easily.”
