CPT and TruTac launch new fleet maintenance management system

TruTac and the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) have developed a new fleet maintenance management software, CPT Fleet Management, which will enable operators to organise and control “all aspects” of day-to-day fleet maintenance.

The system was officially launched and demonstrated today (22 April) at a national operations and policy update session for members. It uses an interactive online calendar which can be used to automatically plan schedules and create alerts for upcoming events.

With the new system, fleet managers will be able to access vehicle history, maintenance records, safety inspections, defect reporting, rectifications and audit checks in real time.

CPT Fleet Management is DVSA and Earned Recognition approved, and comes integrated with TruTac’s modular suite of CPT compliance control products – allowing for easy switches between tacho analysis, daily checks and maintenance calendars.

“Together with CPT we see this addition to our existing suite of CPT-dedicated PSV compliance software as an essential tool for coach, bus and mini-bus operators to stay compliant and in control of mandatory vehicle maintenance procedures – while focusing on the busy demands of running a passenger transport business,” says Commercial Director for TruTac Jemma James.

Document management is streamlined by the system uploading and tagging MoT certificates, safety inspection sheets and contracts so that all garages can instantly assess individual vehicle requirements. Fleet managers meanwhile can search for documents and cross reference each job with the garage which did the work.

“CPT Fleet Management provides operators with a comprehensive online dashboard presenting key dates – engineering and maintenance inspections, MoTs, vehicle taxes – and a comprehensive vehicle history in an easy to access and administer platform,” says Commercial Manager CPT UK, Peter Gomersall.

“I am sure that the addition of CPT Fleet Management to our suite of exclusive range of CPT and TruTac products will benefit members greatly.”
