Grand UK Holidays: Bookings demonstrate demand for UK travel

Demand for UK holidays is looking strong for Norwich coach tour operator Grand UK Holidays after a recent survey demonstrated respondents’ lack of confidence in foreign travel.

90% of the operator’s customer base said they didn’t feel safe travelling abroad in 2021, while more than half of respondents said they did not feel safe travelling abroad in 2022.

Meanwhile, 52% of those surveyed have already booked at least one holiday with the operator departing in 2021, suggesting confidence is still high for UK domestic travel when restrictions ease.

“Grand UK Holidays specialises in escorted coach holidays for the mature traveller, and while our customers have expressed their desire to finally be able to take a holiday, the majority want to keep within the British Isles,” explains Sales and Marketing Manager Sally Hubble-Button.

“It’s been a difficult year for everyone, and I think we are craving some normality and to be allowed to do the things we love again, such as go on holiday. The demand is clearly there as our bookings demonstrate, and our customers are looking forward to getting away as soon as they can, as long as they can do so within the UK,” she adds.
