Birmingham International Coaches and Lakeside Coaches have become members of the Guild of British Coach Operators.

The two businesses were formally welcomed by Guild Chairman, and Director of Pulhams Coaches, Andy Pulham (pictured, left) at a recent meeting held in Coventry. Certificates were presented to Andrew Watkiss (pictured, right) of Birmingham International and Neal Hall (pictured, centre) of Lakeside Coaches.

Both operators have passed an independent and exacting audit of operational and service quality standards that require 100% compliance. Birmingham International and Lakeside build upon the Guild’s existing 25-strong membership and Mr Pulham says he is “delighted” to welcome them aboard.

“Guild membership provides a unique forum for members to share best practice and to help each other, as it has for 40 years,” he adds.

The Guild of British Coach Operators was formed in 1985 and says that its members represent “the very best of the coach industry.” Their standards are monitored and assured by independent bi-annual audits.

The Guild meets three times per year in person and more frequently online. It also hosts specialist groups including those dedicated to engineering, human resources, marketing, operations, and training.
