The recently opened Ilesbus UK headquarters in Swansea will host a UK Coach Operators Association (UKCOA) conference and showcase on 23 September.
Coach operators, suppliers and other key industry figures will come together for the free-to-attend event. It will include networking, shared insight and collaboration, and is open to all coach operators regardless of UKCOA membership, with the Association promising a day of practical value and fostering new connections.
Among highlights will be a keynote address from Traffic Commissioner for Wales Victoria Davies. She will provide an update on compliance and regulatory matters.
Delegates will also hear from the Department for Work and Pensions on workforce initiatives and skills developments, while a selection of UKCOA industry partners will exhibit and offer short presentations. That will provide operators with direct access to products, services and innovations to support their businesses.
Host Ilesbus UK will showcase its new Swansea Enterprise Park facility. It opened earlier this year and is four times the size of the business’s previous headquarters in Bridgend.
Significantly upgraded facilities are on site and those illustrate what UKCOA says is the dealership’s ongoing commitment to the UK market. The latest Ilesbus vehicles will be demonstrated, and tours of the site will be offered.
Speaking about the event, UKCOA Managing Director Peter Bradley adds: “We are excited to launch the UKCOA conference and showcase as a key date in the coach industry calendar.
“This event is all about bringing operators and suppliers together in a format that is accessible, informative, and above all, practical. We are delighted to be partnering with Ilesbus UK for this event and are looking forward to welcoming attendees to its fantastic new headquarters.”
Proceedings will commence at 1000hrs and conclude at 1500hrs, with refreshments and lunch provided. Advance booking is essential. Reservations can be made by emailing [email protected] with the delegate’s name and company details.
