Llew Jones Coaches celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2022, and to mark the occasion it has applied a celebratory livery to a new Mercedes-Benz Tourismo that was recently supplied by EvoBus (UK).
The Llanrwst operator was established in 1972 and it has grown to have an involvement in a wide variety of work in both the coach and bus sectors. The former involves private hire alongside tours in both the UK and further afield.
The new Tourismo is a 13.1m, two-axle M/2 model. It has been finished in metallic silver complete with anniversary decals and a cherished 22-plate registration mark.
Internally the new addition is to Premium+ specification and it has 53 Softline seats with footrests and drop-down tables.
A coach multimedia system is fitted along with a cab seat that turns via 45 degrees, while from a safety perspective also installed is Active Brake Assist 4.
The new coach joins two other Tourismos acquired since the start of 2020: A PSVAR compliant ex-demonstrator that arrived with Llew Jones in January of that year, and a further ex-demonstrator that was purchased in December 2021.
