Mistral accepted into YPO framework

Mistral Bus and Coach-financed vehicles are now accessible via YPO’s latest framework, titled “Supply of Purchase, Lease, and Hire Specialist Vehicles”.

YPO is a public sector buying organisation, founded 50 years ago by 13 local authorities to combine their procurement demands and achieve efficiency savings.

Profits are shared among the founder members and the 68 associate member authorities.

It provides around 100 frameworks and 20,000 products to public sector organisations.

According to Mistral, frameworks save time and money as public sector bodies have no need to conduct lengthy, costly and complex tender exercises themselves. It adds they can rely on YPO’s vetted suppliers.

Efficiency, quality assurance, flexibility and legal protections are thus the benefits of this arrangement, Mistral says.

Coaches, buses and minibuses are covered under “lot 8” of the framework agreement.

Mistral says: “The development comes on the back of the launch of a dedicated division for specialist vehicles within the Mistral Group, offering an independent range of passenger-carrying conversions from market leading convertors.

“Headed up by Helen Ross, who brings with her over 17 years of expertise in the vehicle conversion sector, Mistral Specialist Vehicles division provides solutions for both contract hire, lease and ownership, via flexible finance packages.”
