Nottingham City Transport will be taking on Hastings Magpies on Bank Holiday Monday (6 May), in a charity football match to raise money for When You Wish Upon a Star.

Hastings Magpies is a team formed in 2018 in memory of Ben Hastings, who passed away from cancer aged 31.

Ben’s uncle, Pete Hastings Senior, who has been an NCT bus driver for 16 years, approached his colleagues to see if they would support the fundraiser.

Says Pete: “I am overwhelmed by the support from my work mates in rallying together for this charity football match to raise money in memory of Ben.”

Kick off will be at 1400hrs at Meadow Lane, the home of Notts County, and tickets are now on sale from Nottingham City Transport’s Travel Centre in the Old Market Square. Tickets are £5 for Adults; £2.50 for Under 16s and all under 5s go free.
