Jones Coach and Bus Sales has supplied its first Noone Turas 900s midicoach built on the General Safety Regulation 2 (GSR2) compliant DAF XB front-engined chassis to buyer Perry’s Coaches of Malton.
It will be quickly followed by other examples on the latest generation underframe for further customers in England and Wales, the Llanrwst dealership has confirmed.
In GSR2 compliant format the DAF XB comes with advanced driver assistance and safety features along with a digital dash binnacle. It succeeds the DAF LF as the chassis for the Noone Turas 900s midi.
The example supplied to Perry’s Coaches is a long wheelbase model with 37 seats plus a courier’s position. Each is finished in red moquette with cream headrest, shoulder and thigh inserts, and three-point belts. The driver’s seat it trimmed to match, and wood-effect flooring is also fitted.
GVW of the vehicle is 12,000kg and it is PSVAR compliant. The passenger lift is mounted above the rear axle so as not to compromise boot space, with further luggage provision in side lockers.
Christina Saunders, Sales and Business Development Manager of Jones Coach and Bus Sales, describes the upgraded DAF chassis as “fantastic” and notes that it represents a significant elevation over the previous underframe.
