Cambridgeshire operator Whippet has appointed Ed Cameron as Interim General Manager.

Mr Cameron joined Whippet as Commercial Manager in July 2023, having previously led commercial and business development at Uno. He also worked at design agency Best Impressions and Stagecoach East.

The Ascendal subsidiary says his impact at the business has been swift, crediting him for growing its bus networks via negotiations with the Cambridge and Peterborough Combined Authority.

He says: “I’m delighted to take up this position. So much has been achieved in the year since I joined Whippet with the support of both the local team and the wider Ascendal business, and I look forward to leading the delivery of further improvements and growth.”

Ascendal Managing Director Jonathan Ziebart adds: “I am delighted to promote Ed to the position of Interim General Manager.

“Over the last year, Ed has demonstrated unwavering levels of commitment and passion for improving bus services locally.

“He has a comprehensive grasp of Whippet’s operations, and is perfectly positioned to support me in leading the ongoing transformation of Whippet.”
