New Bharat Coaches has taken delivery of a 14.1m i6S integral, supplied by Irizar UK (01909 500514). It is the first Irizar integral for the Southall operator.

The model was chosen thanks to its seating capacity of 61 coupled to expansive underfloor luggage space, says New Bharat Coaches Director Tajinder Dhaliwal.

“We plan to keep the coach for between five and seven years. All our vehicles are now Euro VI and we have nothing above five years old. We maintain our fleet in-house and have an eight-acre site at Heston Services on the M4.”

The i6S integral has a DAF MX-11 engine developing 450bhp coupled to a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox. It also comes with a centre sunken toilet and a comprehensive entertainment system.
