Transdev reveals new procedures to tackle coronavirus COVID-19

Transdev has shared details of how it has adapted to protect colleagues, customers and key workers in light of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

Measures include an offer of rail replacement work and driving services to councils and business short on staff, allowing Transdev colleagues to maximise earnings.

Timetables have been revised based on key worker journey patterns. Free tickets are available for those supporting the elderly and concessionary pass restrictions have been relaxed to allow holders access to supermarkets at priority times.

Stressing the importance of communication, Transdev is providing up-to-date PDF timetables on every route in addition to real time information displays at bus stops and vehicle tracking through the Transdev Go app.

To further ensure safety, a strict vehicle cleaning regime is taking place throughout the day at bus stations.

New voice announcements have been introduced with safety advice encouraging passengers to use contactless payment where possible.

Transdev says its safety advice to customers has also been displayed online and pushed to over 55,000 followers on social media.
