The countdown is on to Burnley’s big free family day out of the summer.

The Burnley Bus Bash event, Burnley’s big free family day out, will be at the Queensgate Bus Depot on Sunday 23 July between 1000-1600hrs – and organisers are promising a packed day of family fun with something to amaze and entertain all the family, from live music and dancing to free rides through the bus wash.

Parent company Transdev is investing £4.5m in a fleet of 30 top-of-the-range new buses for its Mainline network – the bus firm’s biggest-ever investment in Lancashire – and the first of the stunning new vehicles will take centre stage at the big Burnley event.

The event will also launch a new name in public transport for East Lancashire – The Burnley Bus Company – which will soon be a familiar sight on the area’s roads.
