Pelican Bus and Coach has appointed Mick Campbell as Customer Project Manager. His role will be to manage all aspects of Pelican’s Yutong bus customers’ experience from first enquiry to project fulfilment.
Mick joins from First Bus, where for the past three years he held the role of Engineering Project Manager.
During that period he gained knowledge of the Yutong brand while working with Pelican to place coaches into the Somerset Passenger Solutions business, which serves Hinkley Point nuclear power station.
Mick says: “That provided a number of opportunities over numerous months to visit the Yutong factory in China and provide support in ensuring that our requirements were fully met within the production process.
“I am absolutely delighted to join Pelican and I will be able to use all of my operator experience and knowledge to ensure that we continue to deliver a high-quality product that meets the requirements and expected standards of all our current and future customers.”
Prior to his most recent role with First Bus Mick held the position of System Engineer with the operator, working with OEMs, suppliers and operating companies. That was preceded by a 24-year career in the armed forces.
