Paul Street has been appointed as Director of External Affairs by the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT).

Mr Street joins from Network Rail, where he most recently held the position of Head of Communications for the North West of England. In addition to his transport sector experience, he has an extensive background in communications and public affairs, the Confederation says.

Adds CEO Graham Vidler: β€œI am delighted to welcome Paul to the CPT team. His extensive experience in the transport industry will be a huge asset to CPT and our membership.”

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Street says: β€œIt is an exciting time be on board. I am looking forward to championing how coaches and buses can drive up environmental improvements, as well as be a cost-effective alternative for passengers to get to work and leisure safely, reliably and in comfort.”
