Richard Gagg is to take charge at Wiltshire bus operator Salisbury Reds – parent company Go South Coast has confirmed.

Richard will take the reins from outgoing operations manager Alex Chutter, who has joined sister company Thamesdown Transport in Swindon, as general manager.

After seven years within the retail industry, Richard began work as a bus driver in 2003 – transporting passengers across the UK and Europe for a further seven years.

“This is a great opportunity for me, and I’m excited to begin work with my new colleagues here,” says Richard.

“Salisbury Reds already offers high quality bus services, and I’m delighted to be overseeing the journeys operated by our excellent team here.”

Go South Coast Managing Director, Andrew Wickham, says: “We are pleased to be welcoming Richard as operations manager for our Salisbury Reds services in Wiltshire.

“He is a highly-skilled professional, with a wealth of experience within the industry – both in the UK and abroad. He joins Salisbury Reds at an exciting time, following significant investment in recent years. I have no doubt he will play a key role in further enhancing the services we offer here in the future.”
