In April 2018 Powertrain became the Allison Transmission Direct Dealer for the UK.  With Allison Transmissions being the world’s largest manufacturer of fully automatic commercial duty transmissions and a leader in hybrid propulsion systems, it wasn’t an opportunity to miss.

Since then, Powertrain got supply contracts with three principal operators, Stagecoach, Arriva, and First Bus, and provide product and service support to Allison Transmissions PSV operators.

Powertrain has also expanded the field service technician’s team. The technicians operate throughout the UK from vehicles which carry parts and tooling to do any required repairs.

They also (along with workshop engineering staff) have been trained to carry out any Allison and warranty repairs.

Powertrain also have a large range of Allison parts, with over 300 Allison ReTran exchange units in stock.

Powertrain guarantees 24-hour service support of Allison Transmission products. Whether it’s a diagnostic engineer, or a pre-programmed TCU, it will be with the customer within 24 hours of the initial call.

Powertrain (established in 1970 and is family-owned) retains its ethos of reinvestment in both staff and facilities.
