Steril Koni in repeat supply deal with Fife operator A1 Coaches

A1 Coaches of Methil in Fife has added two sets of Stertil Koni ST1075FWA wireless mobile column lifts to its workshop. They will assist with the maintenance of vehicles ranging from eight-seat minibuses to double-deck coaches.

Adjustable forks mitigate differing tyre sizes across vehicle types, while the full colour ebright Smart Control System simplifies operations and gives maximum visual information to users. It allows columns to be operated individually, in pairs, or in any other combination, all from any unit in the set.

Purchase of the latest columns follows an identical procurement by A1 Coaches six years ago. Those previous lifts have proved themselves reliable, leading to the repeat business. The new equipment is in sets of four columns and is complemented by eight axle stands that were ordered at the same time.

Power in the columns is from long life, deep-cycle batteries that last at least a week on average between charges, which is carried out via a 230-volt single-phase supply.

Stertil Koni notes that the wireless nature of the columns when in use removes a trip hazard, giving a health and safety benefit to the customer.
