Coach and tour operators are among those being invited to attend The Southern Wales Group and Travel Trade Buyer Event, which will be held online on 1 July.

The meet the buyer/virtual familiarisation webinar takes the place of the in-person group and travel trade buyers’ event that is normally held annually by Southern Wales Tourism.

The 1 July event will promote the region via a new film and give accommodation, attractions, activities and food and drink businesses to present their products to buyers.

It will also include well-known sites such as the National Museums of Wales and Tredegar House and Park along with new attractions and activities and a range of accommodation options. Each of those will give a five-minute presentation and there will be time for questions. All featured businesses will be able to discuss what groups need after the event by phone or e-mail.

Southern Wales Tourism adds that following the webinar, it will be working with buyers and businesses across the region to create in-person familiarisation visits.
